Randall's new building is such an asset to Oregon and we were proud to help them celebrate! |

RUNWAY ON THE RUNWAY
Clients: The Portland Timbers & Alaska Airlines
In December of 2010, we worked closely with The Portland Timbers and official jersey sponsor Alaska Airlines to produce and execute a jersey reveal event unlike any other. Drums kicked off the event for 1,000 and drew attention to the opening hangar door, revealing a Timbers-branded plane led in by Timber Joey. Once in place, the plane door opened and players and models walked the runway to show off the new Timbers gear. The event was also streaming live online for thousands of fans to join in the first look. |

LAKE OSWEGO CENTENNIAL FESTIVAL
Client: City of Lake Oswego
Honor the past, celebrate the present, and imagine the future. The City of Lake Oswego hired us to provide event planning services for the 100th anniversary of the City’s incorporation with a year full of events. Among these, the team produced a one-day festival event at historic Luscher Farm, drawing over 7,000 Lake Oswego residents out to the celebration. In addition, we designed and produced a farm dinner called Grow + Gather – this event brought 6 local Lake Oswego chefs together to prepare a farm fresh feast for the 300 guests under a beautiful tent on the farm. The Centennial year concluded with a time capsule event on 10/10/10. |

ARTISTS OF INNOVATION
Client: Tektronix | Corporate Event
To celebrate the achievements of remarkable engineers while bringing them out of their introvert shells, we created an art-themed soiree for the Tektronix Technical Excellence Awards Banquet. Engineers and their spouses were invited to evoke their artistic sides in the Casino del Arte, an interactive after party where guests donned berets and paintbrushes to help complete a 40’ custom paint by number created by artist Tom Cramer. The annual event has never been the same; we have produced the banquet ever since – each year with a new theme and twist to keep guests guessing. For our work on this innovative fete, we were selected as a finalist in Special Event Magazine’s “Best Corporate Event for budget of $100,000-$249,000” category and honored in the publication’s September 2009 issue. |

POWER OF THE PURSE
Client: Girls Inc. of Northwest Oregon | Non-Profit Fund-raiser
What if Portland’s most notable celebrities designed the purses of their dreams? Girls Inc. of Northwest Oregon and Cindy Thompson Event Productions asked that question in 2006 when they dreamed up one of Portland’s most unique fund raising events: Power of the Purse. Pairing local designers with local purse-o-nalities, we work with Girls Inc. months in advance of the event date to bring the event to life. One-of-a-kind purses designed by these power teams are auctioned at a gala event each spring, complete with a fashion-show set-up, exciting entertainment, and other surprises – such as Dionne Warwick’s participation and impromptu performance in 2010. Girls Inc. of Northwest Oregon does great work and we are proud to work so closely with them each year to make Power of the Purse a success! |

EASTBANK ESPLANDADE OPENING & ILLUMINATA PARADE OF LIGHT
Client: Portland Development Commission & City of Portland | Community Festival
Cindy Thompson Event Productions was hired to produce the 2-day community celebration for the opening of the Eastbank Esplanade along the Willamette River. The event featured entertainment both on the river and along the Esplanade, with a variety of community booths and activities during the day, culminating with the Illuminata Parade of Light in the evening. Just 10 days prior to the festival, our country experienced the 9/11 tragedies, and the Illuminata Parade of Light brought our city together in a very meaningful way. More than 15,000 people came down to the river, with lights and lanterns, and created a ring of light unlike nothing ever seen. Portlanders filled the entire Esplanade, the Morrison Bridge, the walkway along Waterfront Park, and the Hawthorne Bridge. |
